Naxals torch 7 vehicles in Chhattisgarh

Kanker (Chhattisgarh), Mar 23 (Reprentative) Maoists have torched seven vehicles, which were being used for laying the Aarra-Kiskodo road, about 15 km from Amabeda Police Station in this district of Left-wing extremism-affected Bastar division. “A JCB machine, a roller, a couple of mixers, two water tankers and a tractor – owned by the Bhilai-based Soni Construction – were set ablaze late Tuesday.

The uniformed rebels committed the crime using diesel from a vehicle’s tank. Through the medium of many banners and posters left on the scene, the Kiskodo Area Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) claimed responsibility for the incident. A force was dispatched this morning,” Additional Superintendent of Police Gorakhnath Baghel said on Wednesday.
