Narayanasamy condemns IT raids at house of DMK Prez’s daughter

Puducherry, Apr 2 (Agency) Former Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Friday condemned the Income Tax raids at the house and office premises of DMK President M K Stalin’s daughter and son-in-law. In a voice message on WhatsApp, he alleged that this is a well planned conspiracy of the BJP and AIADMK. The Narendra Modi government is doing this to tarnish the image of political party leaders and their families and victimize them, Mr Narayanasamy said. The IT sleuths had conducted raids at the house of DMK leader E V Velu in Thiruvannamalai recently. To give stress to the opposition party leaders at the time of election, the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre is doing this and the AIADMK is supporting it, the former Chief Minister alleged.

He said the DMK leaders had crossed several tests and this is known to the people of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Out of fear of defeat, to divert the attention of the people such raids are being conducted, Mr Narayanasamy said, adding that the NDA government forgotten that their image among the people would be damaged by this act. In Puducherry also, the residences of leaders of several political parties were raided during the election time and they were being harassed. The people of Tamil Nadu will teach a fitting lesson to the BJP and AIADMK in the April 6 assembly election, he added.
