MSEDCL techie among two held in bribery case

Aurangabad, Sep 7 (Agency) An executive engineer of the state-run MSEDCL and a tout were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a businessman. The duo accused have been identified as Jalna MSEDCL techie Revanand Laxman More and one Dipak Ratan Nade.

According to the ACB, the engineer sought the bribe from the complainant, involved in solar business, in lieu of trimming the power bills of the latter’s clients. Based on the allegation, a trap was laid and Dipak was caught red-handed while taking the money. Subsequently, the engineer was also held and both of them have been booked under the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, ACB told.
