New Delhi, Aug 31 (Agency) Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested a man of the banned organisation Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) for allegedly painting pro-Khalistan graffiti at different metro stations in Delhi. According to HGS Dhaliwal, Special Commissioner of Police, the accused, identified as Pritpal Singh (30) alias Kaka, a native of Dod village, Faridkot district in Punjab, was arrested from Bhatinda in Punjab. The accused was promised to pay US dollar 7,000 for the job by the SFJ handler. The police claimed that Pritpal Singh and his associate Rajvinder were involved in the painting of pro-Khalistan graffiti and slogans on the walls of different metro stations in the late evening hours of August 26 this month. Both were detained, but now Pritpal has been arrested. The accused allegedly came into contact with a banned outfit handler during the Covid time. About a month ago, the handler tasked him with painting pro-Khalistan slogans in Delhi before the G-20 summit.
For this, he was offered USD 7000, he got half of the amount in advance from the handler, and the rest was to be paid after the completion of the work, Dhaliwal said. On scanning different CCTV footage and analysing the mobiles dumped at the different spots, two suspects were spotted near the graffiti spots, making videos. Through analysis of dump data from mobiles, some mobile numbers of the Punjab network were found moving to these places at the time of the commission of crime. Accordingly, those numbers were placed on interception, and a team of the Special Cell moved to Bhatinda in Punjab and apprehended and arrested them, Dhaliwal said.
