Immigration racket busted, 5 including two agents arrested

New Delhi, March 25 (FN Agency) Delhi Police claimed to have busted an immigration racket and arrested five people including two mastermind agents, the police said on Friday. They were identified as Sucha Singh, Surjit Singh and Amandeep Singh (trio passengers) and Sandeep Kumar and Gurvinder Singh Mokha (both agents) A case was registered on March 16, under sections 420/468/471/120B IPC and 12 PP Act at IGI Airport Police Station. On March 16, three passengers who were supposed to travel to Paris were found suspicious at the check-in area near ‘D’ row. On the basis of suspicion, the passengers were inquired and their Visas were found doubtful. Later the same was informed to Vistara airlines who sent all visas and passports to concerned ALO for verification and later ALO of German Embassy confirmed that the Visas of all the three passengers were counterfeit, in this regard a complaint was received from CISF, said Delhi Police. During the investigation all three passengers were arrested. They told police that their documents were procured by an agent Sandeep Kumar. During interrogation, in respect of the payment made to the alleged agent, it was disclosed that to facilitate their journey the alleged agent collected a certain amount from each person, a part of the amount was paid in cash and the remaining amount was transferred to his account.

The whereabouts of the agent Sandeep were tracked and raids were conducted at his possible hide outs, finally the team intercepted the movement of alleged Sandeep at Mahipalpur and arrested him. During interrogation, he told police that he got the France sticker Visas affixed on the passport of Passengers through agents Gaurav Gosain and Gurvinder Mockha, resident of Delhi. He further disclosed that he came in contact with agent Gaurav Goasain through agent Gurwinder Mockha. Out of the payment received he allegedly transferred a certain amount in the account of agent Gaurav Gosain and to the account of agent Gurvinder Mokha and kept the remaining amount as his commission, claimed police. On this basis, police intercepted the movement of alleged Gurwinder Mockha at Uttam Nagar in Delhi and arrested him. Further efforts are being made to trace the agent Gaurav Gosain, however he has been absconding and evading his arrest, said police.
