Chennai, Mar 14 (Agency) Field officials of GST and Central Excise, Chennai North have seized huge quantities of cone and car speakers and branded cell phones, which were brought to the city, and valued at about Rs 25 to 30 lakhs, without proper documents. The officials have been effectively monitoring election malpractices 24X7 through the control room established for this purpose for the April six Assembly elections, an official release here said.
Field officers through their effective checking have seized huge quantities of Cone Speakers/Car Speakers and branded Cell Phones which were being brought to the market without Invoice/E-Way Bill etc. The seizures were made on the Arterial Anna Salai in the city. Investigation is underway.
