Kozhikode, March 16 (FN Representative) The Customs Intelligence at the Calicut International Airport in Karipur near here has on Tuesday seized gold and foreign currency worth over a crore rupees. Sources said the seizure include over two kilograms of gold worth Rs 98 lakhs and Saudi Riyal worth Rs 20 lakhs.
The Customs confiscated the smuggled goods from four passengers from the Middle East, who reached the airport early this morning. The Customs has taken the four into custody and cases registered against the smugglers.
