Chennai, Jan 22 (Agency) In a daring day light heist, a five-member gang looted the gold loan firm Muthoot Finance branch at gun point on the Bagalur Road near Hosur in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu and decamped with 25 kg gold worth Rs seven crore and Rs 96,000 cash, today. The incident took place around 0930 hrs on the every busy stretch, sending shock waves in the locality. The gang members, wearing face masks and helmet, barged into the gold loan firm, attacked the branch manager, tied him and other staff members, snatched the keys and made away with the booty. Five special police teams were formed to nab the burglars. Police suspect that the gang members might be from neighbouring Bengaluru and one team was sent there. Police have collected the CCTV footages and launched an investigation.
