Fire at Indiabulls in Nashik

Nashik, Apr 7 (Agency) A fire broke out at the Ratan India (Indiabulls) project in Musalgaon-Gulwanch area in Sinnar tehsil of the district, sources said on Wednesday.

According to sources, the increased grass in the project caused a large fire. The fire damaged oil drums and other materials, said project head Abhimanyu Rathod. The cause of the fire was not understood. Officers, along with workers, rushed to the scene after the fire started emitting smoke. Two fire tenders from the project arrived immediately. Firefighters from the Municipal Council and MIDC were also called for help as the fire broke out. Security guards and factory workers also rushed to the rescue. The fire was contained at 7 p.m.

The fire destroyed old oil drums, electric cables and paint cans in the project. The fire was extinguished as workers rushed to the rescue. So big losses were avoided. Exactly how much damage was caused by the fire could not be ascertained. A team from the company will arrive on Wednesday to inspect the damage, after which an accurate estimate of the damage can be made.

In the second incident a fire broke out adjacent to the newly set-up COVID care Centre at Chandwad tehsil on Tuesday. This centre was likely to be inaugurated on the same day. Fortunately, no casualty was reported. According to the sources, the fire erupted from the warehouse next to the centre and was caused due to the short-circuit.
