Deoghar, Feb 3 (Bureau) Four criminals have been arrested by Deoghar Police in Jharkhand while they were planning to damage the crude oil pipeline passing through the area to steal oil. Police on Thursday said that the arrested have been identified as Raja Kumar Das, Devanand Kumar, Sonu Kumar Das and Sudesh Kumar.
Police said that Deoghar SP Dhananjay Kumar Singh had received a tip-off regarding some men planning to damage the Paradip-Haldia-Barauni crude oil pipeline and steal the crude oil. Post the information a team led by SDPO Pawan Kumar conducted raids and nabbed the four men from near the pipeline which passes through Chamaridih. Several equipments to break the pipeline have been recovered from them.
