Delhi native arrested for possession of Ganja in Goa

Panaji, Jun 4 (Representative) Pernem Police in North Goa on Friday arrested a Delhi native for allegedly illegal possession of narcotics substance Ganja. According to Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi, information was received from reliable sources that one person was involved in drug activities at Arambol in Pernem. Police got information that the accused would be bringing drugs at Harambol. Based on reliable intelligence, the accused person was traced in evening at Harambol and a surprise raid was conducted during which the narcotics drugs was found in his possession.

The Ganja was immediately seized and taken into custody under the panchanama. The seized drug is worth Rs 16,000 in international market, police said. The accused was identified as Aryamik Sen (23) from Vasant Kunj, Delhi. An offence under section 20(b)(ii)(A) was registered against the accused. The raid was conducted by PI Jivba Dalvi and consisted of PSI Praful Giri and other staff. Further investigation was in progress under the supervision of SDPO Gajanan Prabhudessai and SP North Shobit Saxena, IPS.
