New Delhi, May 17 (Agency) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday raided multiple locations including the national capital in a case related to an alleged insurance scam in J&K. The Sleuths of the Central probe agency since early morning conducted searches at nine locations related to the former press secretary of the then governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satyapal Malik, highly placed sources in the agency said. The latest development in the case comes in less than a month after Malik gave his statement to the CBI in connection with the case.
The CBI, however, has not issued any statement so far in this regard. Last month, Malik said he had exposed the sins of some people by speaking the truth that is why CBI summoned him, in an apparent reference to his interview to a private news portal in which he mentioned about the Pulwama terror attack where 40 CRPF jawans were martyred, alleging that he was asked by PM Narendra Modi and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to refrain himself from speaking about the lapses which he had apprised in the aftermath of the attack.
