Imphal, Nov 23 (Representative) Troops of Assam Rifles seized banned drugs weighing about 118 kilograms worth Rs 118 crores in international market on Wednesday at Tengnoupal district.
An Assam Rifles official said troops intercepted a three-wheeler at Phungchong Village and found five sacks with 118 Kg suspected Pseudoephedrine tablets which are the precursor and main ingredient of methamphetamine and is a controlled substance. The cost of 118 kilograms of Pseudoephedrine is Rs 118 crores in international Market. The recovered items were handed over to Moreh Police Station for further investigation.
