Kaushambi (UP), Aug 12 (Agency) Property of mafia-turned-politician Atique Ahmed worth several crore rupees in Chail town was attached by the district administration on Friday as a part of action under the Gangster Act. Official sources said that on the order of the District Magistrate, a team led by Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Manish Kumar Yadav attached the land in Koilaha village worth Rs 25 crore. “A board of land being the government property has been installed at the site,” they said.
SDM Yadav said that Atique has 1.46021 hectare land in Koilaha village alongside Prayagraj-Kanpur national highway. “As a government property it is worth Rs 1 crore, whereas as per the market price it is worth Rs 25 crore which has been attached under the Gangster Act,” he said.
