Arvind Kejriwal will be released soon: Sisodia

New Delhi, Aug 28 (Agency) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday asserted that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will come out from jail soon and the party will fight to complete the work stalled by the BJP. Addressing the gathering during his Padyatra in Mangolpuri assembly, Sisodia alleged, “BJP is scared of Kejriwal government’s free electricity, water, and remarkable reforms in education and healthcare, thus, they have falsely imprisoned party leaders.” “The BJP did not want us to come out before the Delhi assembly elections, but thanks to Baba Saheb’s Constitution and the Supreme Court, I am here among you,” he said, adding that soon Kejriwal will also come out, and AAP will fight to complete the work that the BJP has stalled. Sisodia lauded party workers, stating that they kept the BJP awake for 17 months when a colleague went to jail. “The political revolution you all have created in Delhi over the past 10 years has made possible the current revolution in education, health, and free electricity,” he said.

“The team of revolutionaries from Aam Aadmi Party continues to grow in Punjab, Goa, and Gujarat. The court reprimanded the BJP’s agencies for their actions, but the BJP did not stop and imprisoned me and Sanjay Singh in fake cases while conspiring to imprison Arvind Kejriwal,” Sisodia said. “The BJP was fully prepared to ensure we did not come out of jail before the Delhi assembly elections. They planned to keep all our leaders in jail and then claim they were on top without a race,” Sisodia added, stating that the BJP forgot there is a Constitution and a Supreme Court in this country. During the 52-degree heat in Delhi, he slept on a mat under a fan in a small cell, Sisodia said, adding, “I do not claim to have suffered but am willing to stay in jail for 17 months or even 17 lifetimes to improve Delhi’s schools and ensure good education for every child in the country.” “The BJP made many attempts to break the Aam Aadmi Party, but no one broke,” he alleged.
