Accountant arrested in bribery case in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, Mar 24 (Representative) The Anti Corruption Bureau on Wednesday arrested a Talathi(accountant) attached with Devrai village, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 from the complainant. The accused, Bharat Dattu Dutonde had sought Rs 4,000 as bribe from the complainant who wanted to register his plot record. Reluctant to pay the bribe, the complainant approached the city unit of ACB.

Subsequently, the ACB laid a trap at the office of the accountant and caught Bharat red-handed while accepting the money. Cases under sections 7, 13(1)(D) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act of 2018 has been registered at the Chikalthana police station.
