2 supervisors out from Nashik currency printing press for unattending duty

Nashik, Jul 28 (Agency) Two supervisors of currency printing press were suspended for dereliction of duty, police said on Wednesday. Police said in a statement that in February last , a bundle of Rs 5 lakh notes was stolen from the currency note press at Nashik Road. An internal enquiry was constituted by the management, but in vain. Finally, on July 13, the management filed a complaint at Upnagar police station.

While interrogation, police got to know all the procedures of note printing and found out the bundle collectors who were these two supervisors. On interrogation , one of them fearing police action, confessed to the management on July 24 saying the bundle of notes was not stolen but was punched in the workload and did not tell anyone for fear of management action, police added.
