Etah, Nov 18 (UNI) A 16-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped by three youths in the Aliganj area here, sources said on Wednesday. As per sources, the three youths allegedly raped the girl, who resides in the village of the Aliganj area, when she was taking her younger brother for defecation late on the evening of November 16.
The sources alleged that the police have been reluctant to register a case into this matter and the victim’s family was seen going to the police station for the third day on Wednesday. Raising questions about the police’s style of working, the Bhim Army has assured the victim’s family of justice. Bhim Army’s district president in Mainpuri, Amardeep Singh met the Aliganj SDM on Wednesday and accused the police of not taking any action on the alleged rape incident.
