Kakinada, Jul 17(Agency) Yeleswaram Police on Saturday seized 1500 kgs of ganja and arrested one person in this connection near C Rayavaram Thimmaraju Cheruvugattu area. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a van and seized the contraband stuffed in 50 plastic bags ,while being clandestinely transported to Rajahmundry for its onward dispatch to Hyderabad. The value of the seized Ganja is around Rs 60 lakhs. The van driver was arrested but the four smugglers gave a slip to the police and the hunt is on to nab them, police said.
