Umesh Mandot elected as Maha president of Agarwal Marwari Chamber of Commerce and Jain front

Pune, Aug 19 (Agency) Renowned industrialist Umesh Mandot has been elected as the Maharashtra Pradesh President of Jain Aghadi (Jain Front) of the Agarwal Marwari Chamber of Commerce and Industries Education (MCCIE). The National President of the MCCCIE, Mr. Rajesh Agarwalvhas, confirmed the appointment of Mr. Jain as Maharashtra president. Mr. Mandot said that he would focus on getting the status of an industry on various sectors, which includes the problems of the construction sector and demand to reduce the GST by making it only 3 slabs, reduce the GST on steel, cement, and vehicles, and also zero percent GST on LIC policies, which will be followed up with the Chief Ministers and Finance Ministers of all the states of the country along with the Central Government. He also said that he would press his demand before the authorities about the corporate and MSME sectors for their relief and that efforts would be made with governments for their welfare.

Mandot, who has been working for the organisation for the last few years, has been selected for the post of Maharashtra Pradesh Jain Aghadi President. Commenting on his selection, Mandot said that in the coming years, efforts will be made for the expansion of MSMEs and various types of industries through this post. For the next five years, strong efforts will be made to establish at least 10 thousand women and youth in the industrial. He said that currently there is a large amount of GST on LIC policies. Policy is an essential subject. Therefore, GST on this should be reduced to zero percent. Elaborating further, he said that GST on cement, steel, and vehicles should be reduced from 28 percent to 10 percent for the construction industry. Talking about the construction industry, he said that there is a strong demand from the central government to grant the sector status so that this business gets a big boost. If the central government makes the right decision in this regard, it will be a boon for the country’s economy, he added.
