Mumbai, June 21 (Agency) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday zoomed 934.23 pts at 52,532.07 as buying was seen across the board amid positive global cues. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose 288.65 pts at 15,638.80.The day opened on a strong note at 51,897.60, up 300 pts. It was spurted 1202 pts at 52,799.40, days high, before closing at 52,532.07, advancing 934.23 pts from its previous close.
The sensex registered days high and low at 52,799.40 and 51,808.76 pts respectively. The Nifty recorded days high and low at 15,707.25 and 15,419.85 respectively.The sectoral indices like Oil and Gas, Energy, Utilities and Realty kept the market firm for another session today.In scrips, Titan was a star gainer, up 5.74 pc to Rs 2075 followed by SBI by 3.91 pc to Rs 451.25, TCS by 3.24 pc to Rs 3214, HCL Technology by 2.87 pc to Rs 987.95 and Tata Steel by 2.74 pc to Rs 884.80. The Mid Cap rose by 2.42 pc and Small Cap by 2.99 pc. In 30 scrips, 29 advanced while one declined. The Asian Market was seen strong as Australia was up 1.38 pc, Hong Kong by 1.80 pc, Japan by 1.84 pc and Taiwan by 2.35 pc.
