Mumbai, Jul 15 (Agency) The BSE Sensex on Thursday ended life time high at 53,158.85, advancing 254.80 points on the strength of Realty, Capital Goods, IT and Industrials stocks. The Nifty surged by 70.25 points to 15,924.20. Maintaining a positive trend for the third straight sessions, the Sensex opened higher by 64 points to 52,968.89. During the day it spurted 362 points to 53,266.12, the days high, before closing at 53,158.85, up by 254.80 points from its previous close. It was fell by 44 points to 52,948.47, the days low.
The Sensex registered days high and low at 53,266.12 and 52,948.47 points respectively. The Nifty recorded the days high and low at 15,952.35 sand 15,855 points respectively. The sectoral indices include, Realty, Capital Goods, IT, Industrials and Metal kept the market firm. In scrips, HCL Technology, L& T, Tech Mahindra, HDFC Bank and Ultracemco rallied however, selling in Bharti Airtel, M& M, Asian Paints and Titan restricted from further gains. The Mid Cap rose by 0.31 per cent and Small Cap by 0.43 per cent. In 30 scrips, 16 advanced while 14 declined.
