Mumbai, Jul 23 (Agency) BSE Sensex on Friday added other gains of 138.59 pts to close at 52,975.80 on the strength of Realty, Bankex, Finance and FMCG stocks. The Nifty too rose by 32 pts to 15,856.05. The day opened on a positive note at 52,967.87 rising by 130 pts. It spurted nearly 277 pts to 53,114.70 days high before closing at 52,975.80, advancing by 138.59 pts from its previous close. The Sensex registered days high and low at 53,114.70 and 52,653.77 pts respectively. The Nifty recorded days high and low at 15,899.80 and 15,768.40 pts respectively.
The sectoral indices like Realty, Bamkex, Finance and FMCG kept the market strong. In scrips, ICICI Bank, ITC, SBI, HCL Technology and Axis Bank rallied while selling in L& T, Hind Unilever, Reliance Industries and NTPC capped from further gains. The Mid Cap declined by 0.07 pc while the Small Cap rose by 0.11 pc. In 30 scrips, 16 advanced while 14 declined.
