Rotary District Training Assembly organized at Puri

The Rotary District Training assembly RID-3262 was organized on June 8-9,June at Puri.
Dr Mahesh Kotbagi, Past Rotary international Director who was the chief Guest on the occasion emphasized the need of responsibility while rendering service to the community. We must involve people in service and adopt new technology for effective reach and impact in the society he asserted.
Past Rotary International Director, Kamal Sanghvi,who was the Chief Guest on the second day spoke on the Roles and Responsibilities of the District leaders. Integrity, honesty, commitment, and ethics are the foundational values in Rotary leadership. Leaders are expected to uphold the organization’s ethical standards and act in the best interests of the community they serve. He appealed to the Rotarians to extend their support to make the coming Rotary year a stellar success and explore more opportunities to serve the community at large.

The District Governor Elect Yagyansis Mohapatra while extending his gratitude to the Rotarians for reposing confidence on him and electing him as the District Governor for the year 2024-25 said service to humanity has been the cornerstone of Rotary since its inception and also its main purpose.No organization is more better placed to make a real and positive difference in the world. Through Rotary, we have the capacity, the network, and the knowledge to change the world. The only limits being how enthused and committed we are. We must start the “MAGIC OF ROTARY” right from our clubs he averred.
District Governor,Jayshree Mohanty in her address stressed that the knowledge gained at the District Training Assembly will definitely help club and district officials to be successful during the Rotary year ahead.I am sure under the dynamic leadership of DGE,Yagyansis Mohapatra and acting on the sound advice of DLF Past District Governor Santanu Kumar Pani the Rotary year 2024-25 will bring greater glory to our District 3262.This year the focus of Rotary International is on Create Hope in the World and during the next the Rotary year the focus will be on its theme: The Magic of Rotary.

Among others who spoke on the main sessions were Sarath Choudhury, DGE RID -3250,PDG Jorson Fernandes, PDG Aswini Kar, PDG Dilip Patnaik ,PDG Narayan Mishra PDG A.B. Mohapatra, PDG Debasish Mishra ,IPDG Pravudutta Subudhi, DGN Anil Samal, DGND Manoj Tripathy.DGN Namrata. District Learning Facilitator S.K.Pani spoke on the objectives of the District Learning Assembly. A colourful souvenir edited by Dr Sumitra Mishra was released consisting of important articles and vital information.

Rtn. Anil Shah DSG,Prof Gangadhar Mishra Chairman and Co Chairman Joy Dasgupta coordinated the Assembly. Mesmerizing entertainment programme was organized on both the days with First lady Ittun Mohapatra on the lead with her heart rendering songs. Among others who extended support were Rtn/s Sakyasingha Patnaik, Shibashis Soor, Saroj Dash, Chinmoy Mahapatra and a host of Rotarians to make the programme a success. Over 900 Rotarians and guests participated in the two-day training programme.
