Petrol, diesel prices hiked

New Delhi, Jun 16 (FN Agency) Fuel prices were hiked on Wednesday, with the petrol costing 25 paise more while the diesel price was hiked by 13 paise. According to state-run Indian Oil Corporation website, in Delhi, petrol price was raised by 25 paise to cost 96.66 Rs per litre, while diesel price was increased by 13 paise to Rs 87.41 per litre. The prices of fuel has been increasing since May 4 this year.

In Delhi, petrol rates were hiked by Rs 3.83 while that of diesel were increased by Rs 4.42 in May. In June, petrol has been hiked by Rs 2.43 while diesel price rose by Rs 2.26. In Mumbai, prices of petrol and diesel increased by 24 and 14 paise respectively and reached Rs 102.82 and Rs 94.84 respectively. In Chennai, cost of petrol was hiked by 22 paise to Rs 97.91 per litre, while that of diesel was increased by 12 paise to 92.04 Rs per litre. Petrol rate in Kolkata was hiked by 24 paise to be sold at 96.58 Rs per litre while diesel prices were hiked by 13 paise to cost Rs 90.25. Petrol-diesel prices are reviewed daily and changes are implemented, if any, with effect from 0600 hrs every day.
