Panel discussion on research integrity and its role in strengthening Social Science Research

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 11 (FN Agency) The Springer Nature India Research Tour-2024 made its latest stop at the prestigious Centre for Development Studies (CDS) in Thiruvananthapuram, after a successful event at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode). This leg of the tour featured an insightful panel discussion on “Research Integrity and its Role in Strengthening Social Science Research,” which brought together scholars, researchers, and academics to explore the critical role of ethics and transparency in research practices. Speaking about the significance of research integrity, Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi, Managing Director, Springer Nature India, stated, “In today’s rapidly evolving research landscape, maintaining the highest standards of research integrity is crucial for driving impactful and credible research.”

Prof. Suraj Jacob and Prof. J Devika from CDS and global experts from Springer Nature shared their experiences and insights, contributing to a lively and constructive exchange of ideas in a panel which was moderated by Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi, Managing Director, Springer Nature India.

We are delighted to have partnered with Springer Nature India in facilitating such an important conversation here at CDS.” The India Research Tour 2024, organized by Springer Nature India in collaboration with ICSSR, Ministry of Education, Government of India, is a nationwide initiative aimed at fostering dialogue on research integrity, best practices in publishing, and emerging trends in academic research. After its stop in Kerala, the tour will continue its journey to Tamil Nadu and culminate this year’s tour at SRM University in Chennai. The initiative has been widely appreciated for bringing together academic communities and promoting robust discussions on pressing issues in research.
