Odisha creates a business-friendly ecosystem to attract industrial investments CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar, Jan 28 (Representative) The Odisha government is creating a conducive, business-friendly ecosystem to attract industrial investments, create jobs, and ensure sustainable economic growth for the people of the state, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said.Interacting with industry leaders at the CII conference here on Monday, Majhi said, “In pursuit of our vision of a Samruddha Odisha by 2036, we have taken several initiatives to position Odisha as an industrial hub.” The Chief Minister stated that the role of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), as the National Industry Partner for the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 event, is invaluable, adding, “We are immensely grateful for your partnership.”He also said, “As we look forward to the commencement of the Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 tomorrow, we are filled with immense optimism.”Today, Odisha is rising as a key player in India’s industrial ecosystem, the Chief Minister said noting that the state is the “rising star of the East.” The Chief Minister invited the industry leaders to actively participate in realizing this vision, stating, “Our commitment remains firm in ensuring that Odisha remains a preferred destination for both global and domestic investors.”Majhi added, “My vision is simple, yet ambitious: to attract industrial investments, create jobs, and ensure sustainable economic growth for the people of Odisha.”

“We have adopted a three-pronged approach: developing robust industrial infrastructure, championing ease of doing business, and advocating for large-scale job creation,” he stated. Majhi further emphasized that in the state’s own budget, substantial resources have been earmarked for critical infrastructure projects, with a focus on providing world-class infrastructure and ready-to-use plug-and-play facilities for companies wishing to set up industrial units in Odisha.He added that the government has streamlined regulatory processes to fast-track industrial approvals and clearances. “This will boost the sector and will be instrumental for our economic growth in the coming days,” the Chief Minister said. He further emphasized, “We believe in a transparent and accountable government where every investor is treated as a valued partner.” The Chief Minister said, “My team is dedicated to offering a world-class experience to anyone wishing to invest in Odisha.” “We aim to make Odisha a state that offers not only ease of doing business but also a lower cost of doing business.” “Our core agenda is to generate quality employment opportunities for our people and provide them with the necessary skills and support to help them access high-quality jobs anywhere,” Majhi concluded.
