Patna, Aug 13 (FN Representative) For easy and timely transportation of Rakhi, the Bihar circle of India Post has launched Mobile Post Office service to collect and book Rakhi mails from the Door-steps so that people do not need to go to any Post Office for the purpose. Chief Post Master General (CPMG) Bihar circle Anil Kumar said here today that Mobile Post Office service will continue till Rakhi festival and the special arrangements for booking and delivery of Rakhi has been made for convenience of the people. He said that some of the Post Offices have been asked to provide postal services on all seven days.
Mr Kumar said for conveniently booking Rakhi mails and to ensure it’s delivery on time, special arrangements have been made by Bihar Postal Circle under which late night booking and delivery of Rakhi mails will be done at the selected post offices. The CPMG said in view of the time constraints of working professionals in booking and receiving the Rakhi mails at working hours, the Bihar circle postal department has made arrangements for late night booking and late night delivery of Rakhi mails. He said such facility would be available at certain post offices selected to cover various parts under its jurisdiction. Mr Kumar said on the eve of “Rakhi festival” brothers and Sisters use to send the gifts to each other. Now-a-days, the gift items are usually ordered from the e-Commerce sites. He further said late night delivery of e-Commerce products from identified Post Offices has also been arranged for timely delivery of gift items.
