New Delhi, Dec 23 (Bureau) Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has expanded its global footprint with the start of exports of NAVi bikes to the US market which will be carried out through Honda México. The company started exports of completely knocked-down (CKD) kits of NAVi bikes to Mexico in July 2021 and has dispatched over 5000 CKD kits so far. This was in line with its commitment to become one of Honda’s manufacturing hubs for the world.
Honda NAVi is a crossover, which combines the advantages of a scooter with the characteristics of a motorcycle. It is, in many cases, the first choice of motorcycle to buy. It is agile to get around in city traffic and lightweight for easy maneuvering in tight parking spaces. The company hopes to excite the US market with NAVi’s global appeal and dynamic style. “The NAVi deliveries to US has further strengthened Honda 2Wheelers India’s export portfolio in advanced markets and allowed the company to set new standards of global manufacturing quality in India,” said Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President & CEO, HMSI. With the launch of NAVi exports in 2016, the company has delighted over 1.8 lakh customers in more than 22 diverse export markets led by Asia, Middle East and Latin America.
