Delhi to host ‘Itra and Sugandhi Mela’ from Mar 17 onwards

New Delhi, Mar 16 (Agency) Delhi Tourism Transportation Development Corporation Ltd. (DTTDC) would be organizing a one of its kind ‘Itra and Sugandhi Mela’ from March 17-19, 2023 in the national capital. The unique mela would be organised at Sunder Nursery, Nizamuddin and it would aim to create awareness among people regarding India’s rich heritage in the field of natural perfumes and essential oils including highlighting the importance of essential oils for health care.

Minister Tourism, Delhi Atishi would inaugurate the Festival on March 17 at 5 pm. The festival would exhibit stalls selling perfumes, Deodorants, Itra from various parts of India and stalls selling various crafts. Live Demonstration of Panch Karma, on the spot demonstration of perfume making and demonstration on Aromatherapy would be done. Demonstration on Itar making and on the spot Gulukand Making would also be done at the Mela. Renowned Brands from the Fragrance Industry would be participating in this event. Fragrance & Flavour Development Centre (FFDC), Kannauj will be the knowledge partner of this event. For facilitating the visitors, food stalls offering varied cuisine would be put up at the mela. The mela would also be a treat for music lovers particularly those who have a taste for Qawwali and Ghazal. Nizami Brothers would perform on March 17, while March 18 would see Ghazal performance by Dr. Roshan Bharti, while Nooran Sisters would take the stage on March 19.
