Hyderabad, Apr 10 (Representative) The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), a premier life science research organization under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has embarked on a strategic partnership with Blockchain For Impact (BFI) under the BFI-Biome Virtual Network Program, aimed at catalyzing biomedical research and innovation in India. Under this alliance, BFI will allocate over USD 600,000 USD over three years, harnessing the advanced facilities and expertise at CCMB to bolster interdisciplinary translational research projects in biomedical science and innovation.CSIR-CCMB is dedicated to advancing research and training in cutting-edge biological domains and facilitating national access to state-of-the-art techniques in interdisciplinary biology. In alignment with BFI-Biome’s vision, which transcends conventional boundaries by integrating both upstream and deep science, CSIR-CCMB also champions biomedical research endeavors, driving innovation towards transformative health solutions. This partnership aims to cultivate an environment conducive to idea exchange, network expansion, and the sharing of invaluable experiences, ultimately expediting the translation of research discoveries into practical life science solutions.
The launch event in Hyderabad witnessed the presence of Dr Vinay Nandicoori, Director of CCMB, alongside other institute scientists and representatives from BFI, including Dr Gaurav Singh, CEO; Dr Pooja Agrawal, Program Director; and Dr. Satya Prakash Dash, Senior Advisor.Sandeep Nailwal, founder of Blockchain For Impact, expressed enthusiasm about CSIR-CCMB joining the BFI-Biome Virtual Network Program. With a dedicated USD 15 million program aimed at advancing Biomedical Research and Innovation in India, the BFI Biome initiative integrates both upstream and deep science, fostering an environment conducive to innovation, thereby leading to transformative healthcare outcomes. This program endeavors to unite leading researchers, technologists, and innovators to collaborate and innovate, thereby propelling the next generation of interventions for improved healthcare. Dr Pooja Agrawal, Program Director at BFI, emphasized the potential impact of the collaboration, envisioning the creation of long-term solutions through biomedical innovation.
