Pune / New Delhi, Mar 5 (FN Agency) The Central Railway has registered Best Ever Freight Loading of 80.20 million tonnes for the Financial Year-2023-24 (April 2023 to February 2024), as against loading of 78.13 million tonnes for the corresponding FY 2022-23 (April 2022 to February 2023), with an increase of 9.6 per cent, which is the best ever loading for the period April to February.
The loading in the month of February 2024 was 7.98 million tonnes, as against loading of 7.11 million tonnes for the corresponding month in 2023, with an increase of 12.3 per cent, which is the best ever loading figures for February. With an improved performance in incremental loading of all commodities, the CR has reported a growth of 16.8 per cent in freight earnings over last year, said a release issued by Central Railway on Monday.
