All India Small & Medium Newspaper Federation: Gurinder Singh Elected as National – Chairman

New Delhi, Jan 18 (Agency) In a virtual meeting held at New Delhi, Gurindar Singh has been unanimously re-elected as the National Chairmann of All India Small & Medium Newspaper Federation. Ashok Narwell was elected to the post of Mahamantri, which remained vacant due to the passing away of V.C. Gupta. In the meeting it was discussed that the existence of small & medium newspapers is in a precasious constion.

In this respect the Chairman of Rajsthan Unit & Member of Press Council of India Dr. L.C. Bharati said that the State & Central Govts are trying to wipe out the very existence of small & medium newspapers, Govts are favouring big-media houses, which praise their all activities indiscriminately. Vice Chairman B.K. Sharma, M.L. Krishna from Karnatak. Harpal Yadab from Hariyana, Akhshya Dube from MP, Lalit Suman from Delhi & others also participated In this meeting. This virtual meeting was co-ordinated by Sudhir Panda of Odisha. Two minutes silence was observed to pay homage to the departed souls during Corona pandemic.
