Hyderabad, May 18 (Representative) The 3-day 2nd edition of the CII IGBC Green Property Show, India’s largest exhibition showcasing IGBC Certified green residential projects, products, and technologies, began at HITEX here on Friday. With over 70 builders, developers, financial institutions & buyers with the support of the Government of Telangana, the three-day IGBC Green Property Show 2024 was inaugurated by state Minister Irrigation N Uttam Reddy and Minister for Information Technology D Sridhar Babu. The Green Property Show aims to sensitize and motivate prospective buyers to invest in a greener future by choosing IGBC-certified or pre-certified green projects over conventional buildings. The exhibition provided a platform for 70+ leading developers to showcase their 75,000+ housing units that are offering sustainable residence. C. Shekar Reddy, National Vice Chairman, IGBC, said CREDAI being an MOU partner is activity involved in all IGBC green building initiatives including the Green Property Show 2024.
This exhibition is a pivotal step towards raising awareness about the numerous benefits of green buildings, including energy efficiency, water conservation, and a healthier living environment.” Srinivas Murthy, Co-Chairman, IGBC Hyderabad Chapter, thanked the Government of Telangana for extending their support as a state partner with IGBC to host India’s only Green Property Show. He invited all stakeholders to join the Green Building Movement and support CII – IGBC in its green pursuits and endeavours to take sustainability to the masses. Mr. M Anand – Deputy Executive Director Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), said “IGBC Green Homes demonstrably reduce energy consumption by up to 30 per cent and water usage by 20 per cent, translating to significant cost savings for residents. Additionally, these homes promote a healthier lifestyle by improving indoor air quality and providing access to natural light and ventilation.”
