Washington, Mar 11(Bureau) The US House of Representative on Wednesday passed President Joe Biden’s $1.9tn (£1.4tn) relief bill which will help Americans deal with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID relief bill was passed with the HouseCongress voting 220-211 which was done strictly along party lines, with not a single Republicans voting in favour of it, BBC reported.
The bill which had already been passed by the Senate earlier will now be sent to Mr Biden for his signature, which the White House spokesperson Jen Psaki said the president will sign the bill into law on Friday. This sixth COVID-19 relief bill is a major legislative win for Mr Biden. The bill passed with all but one House Democrat voting in favour.
