Mumbai, Mar 30 (Agency) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday rallied by 826 pts to 49,834.82 in opening trade as buying was seen across the board. The Nifty too rose by 243.70 pts to 14,451. The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 49,844.60 and 49,331.68 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,764.65 and 14,617.60 respectively. The Mid Cap rose by 1.13 PC and Small Cap by 0.94 pc. In 30 scrips 27 advanced while 3 declined. The gainers were NTPC by 3.94 pc to Rs 108.25, ONGC by 3.27 pc to Rs 105.65, Titan by 3.20 pc to Rs 1554.25, Hind Unilever by 2.96 pc to Rs 2383 and Powergrid by 2.40 pc to Rs 219.75. The losers M & M by 1.47 pc to Rs 789.20 and Maruti Suzuki by 0.11 pc to be 6778.
