Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M), a flagship company of Mahindra Group, announced this morning the brand name of its much-awaited SUV. The SUV, which is built on an all-new W601 platform will be named XUV700 (pronounced as XUV, 7 double ‘oh’).
The global SUV, which will be one-of-its-kind, is set to redefine benchmarks in the SUV segment. It will comprise exciting sci-fi technology, spirited performance, and first-in-class features. The XUV700 will have world-class safety features, which reaffirms Mahindra’s commitment to safety. It will offer both diesel and gasoline engines in manual & automatic transmissions. Along with that, it will also have the optional all-wheel-drive (AWD) capabilities.
Slated to launch in Q2FY2022, XUV700 marks the beginning of the next generation of sophisticated and authentic Mahindra SUVs. With expert partners across the world, the model boasts of first-in-segment technologies & features. Besides, it will be manufactured at the company’s manufacturing facility at Chakan in Maharashtra. At 12.25 pm on Thursday, the share price of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited stood at Rs 805.35, which was an increase of 1.12 per cent over its previous day’s close of Rs 796.40 on BSE.
