The Directorate General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (DG EME), Indian Army has released an important notification for the recruitment of various Group C Posts in the employment newspaper dated 28 December to 03 January and on the official website (cbcindia.gov.in). The recruitment will be done in the electronics and mechanical engineering corps. Candidates can submit the offline application on or before 17 January 2024.
A total of 625 vacancies for the post of Pharmacist, Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Electrician, Engineering Equipment Mechanic, Fireman, Tradesman Mate, Vehicle Mechanic, Fitter, Armament Mechanic, Draughtsman Grade II, Stenographer Grade 2, Machinist, and Other Skilled/ Unskilled Posts, Fitter (Skilled) Essential, Tin and Copper, Smith (Skilled), Upholster (Skilled), Moulder (Skilled), Welder (Skilled), and Civilian Motor Driver.

Indian Army Group C Educational Qualification 2024:
- Pharmacist : Pass in 10+2 and 2 (two) years Diploma in Pharmacy and registration with State Pharmacy Council.
- Electrician (Highly Skilled-I & II), Telecom Mechanic (Highly Skilled-II):Pass in 10+2 with a certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the respective trade or grade OR Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-servicemen from the appropriate trade and minimum at grade I.
- Engineering Equipment Mechanic (Highly Skilled Grade – II): Pass in 10+2 with a certificate from a recognised Industrial Training Institute in the motor mechanic trade; OR B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; or Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-servicemen from the appropriate trade and minimum at grade I.
- Vehicle Mechanic (Armoured Fighting Vehicle) (Highly Skilled-II) :- Pass in 10+2 with a certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the Motor Mechanic trade. OR
- Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-servicemen from the appropriate trade and minimum at grade I.
- Armament Mechanic (Highly Skilled-II):- Pass in 10+2 with a certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the Fitter trade. OR Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-servicemen from the appropriate trade and minimum at grade I.
- Draughtsman Grade-II – Matric or its equivalent.Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from recognized Institute. OR Two years Diploma Certificate in Draughtsmanship (Mechanical) from an Industrial Training Institute or its equivalent from a recognized institute. Three years experience in an organization of repute.
- Stenographer Grade-II – Pass in 12thclassor equivalent from a recognized Board or University. Skill Test Norms:- Dictation: 10mts @ 80 w.p.m, Transcription: 50 mts (Eng), 65 mts (Hindi) (on computer)”
- Machinist (Skilled) :- ITI certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the Machinist or Turner or Mil Wright or precision Grinder. OR Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-servicemen from the appropriate trade and minimum at grade I.

- Fire Engine Driver – Matriculation pass or equivalent. Must have at least 3 yrs experience of driving heavy vehicles and have valid driving license. Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties
- Indian Army Group C Age Limit
General: 18–25 years.
Fire Engine Driver: 18–30 years.
Age relaxation is applicable as per central government rules for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD/ Ex-Servicemen.

The selection will be done based on:
Written Test
Skill/Trade Test: Applicable for technical posts.
Physical Fitness Test: Required for Fireman and similar roles.

Candidates can forward the application as per the prescribed format given in the advertisement alongwith a selfaddressed envelope (size- 10.5 cm x 25 cm) with postal stamp of Rs 5/- properly sealed in an envelope to the address mentioned against the post applied for through ORDINARY POST.
