New Delhi, Nov 7 (FN Representative) The Delhi government on Monday announced to reopen the prime schools from Wednesday as the air quality improves. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai, at a press conference, said there has been improvement in the air quality condition here so it has been decided to reopen the primary schools and curbs on outdoor activities above class 5 will be lifted from Wednesday.
Rai further said that in view of reduction in pollution, Delhi government took important decisions under phase 3. Primary schools will be reopened which were closed on account of rising pollution levels, ban removed on trucks, extra buses will be run. But the ban on private demolition and construction, private BS3 petrol vehicles and BS4 diesel vehicles will continue till the air pollution comes down. Mechanical road sweeping and water sprinkling will remain in focus to tackle the air pollution situation. Delhi Fire Service will continue to spray water across the national capital. We will follow the measures so that air pollution level does not increase, said Rai.
