Mahayuti has reached consensus on nearly 235 seats for Assembly polls: Praful Patel

Mumbai, Oct 10 (Represenative) Nationalist Congress Party-Ajit Pawar national working president and Rajya Sabha MP Praful Patel on Tuesday said the Mahayuti has reached consensus on nearly 235 seats for the upcoming Legislative Assembly polls in the state. “For the remaining seats, we will sit in a day or two and find the right way. The opposition is creating a picture that there are differences in the Mahayuti,” Patel said. Patel also announced that Ajit Pawar will contest the election from Baramati Assembly Constituency. Speaking to the media he said that rumors were being spread that the Congress would come to power in Haryana through the India Aghadi. “They succeeded in creating an environment where the BJP would suffer a crushing defeat in Jammu and Kashmir, but what was the situation on the ground has come before the people today,” he said referring to the results of the Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir assembly polls. He said: “The J&K National Conference party has been working for many years in Kashmir Valley. There the BJP has less presence than other parties, and on the other hand the BJP is number one in Jammu. The few seats that the Congress has won is due to the J&K National Conference. They could not get seats on their own merit. “The BJP has come to power in Haryana for the third time in a row. Patel, in a strong counter attack, said that many elements are upset that the campaign by the India Aghadi has only proved that they were misleading the people with the help of the media.

In the last ten years, the NDA and Grand Alliance governments under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi have worked to make progress in the country and the states. Funds have been made available to the farmers. Electricity bills of farmers have been waived off in the state. In many revolutionary schemes like Ladaki Bahin Yojana, so far Rs 7,500 have been directly deposited to our sisters in their accounts, Patel said. “The opposition is creating a picture that there are differences in the Grand Alliance. This is very wrong,” he said. “And in every election, some people move from one party to another. It does not mean that there is displeasure in the minds of the masses. At the local level some math is going around to spoil it. But after the result of Haryana today, people will think. “Talking about EVMs, he said that “it was being considered good when Modi-saheb’s margin of votes decreased (in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections) and now it looks like EVM is bad. Could there have been an EVM failure in Kashmir? But nothing like that happened. Sometimes we have to believe that the system is right.” Patel also quipped that when the opposition loses, the saying ‘angur khatte hai’ (grapes are sour) applies to them.In Maharashtra, under the leadership of Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit-dada, the Mahayuti has taken revolutionary decisions in the last one year, Patel said, and also expressed confidence that because of the decisions, “every class wants our government to come back”.
