New Delhi, Sep 27 (Representative ) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday urged Chief Minister Atishi to start the repair work of Delhi roads on a war footing and involve ministers and MLAs in conducting on-ground assessments of the damaged roads. Kejriwal, alongwith CM Atishi, Timarpur MLA Dilip Pandey, and Model Town MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi inspected the damaged Roshanara Road today. Addressing the media, Kejriwal said, “We inspected Roshanara Road Extension. The Chandrawal pipeline is also laid in this road. People said that this road has been broken for 7-8 months due to the pipeline. On Thursday also I went to Delhi University with CM Atishi. The road there was also broken.” “Today we have come to see the road of Roshanara.
I will request CM Atishi to get all the PWD roads in the whole of Delhi assessed in the next 3-4 days,” he said. Arvind Kejriwal said that now we will get all our MLAs and ministers out on the roads and do an assessment. The roads which are broken, in the coming few months, we will get all those roads repaired on a war footing, so that the people of Delhi do not face any problem. “I had gone to jail, so they had stopped a lot of work. But I assure the public that now I am back. All the works that were stalled in Delhi, I will get them started again,” he mentioned. In a social media post, Kejriwal said “Today, I inspected another road in Delhi on Roshanara Road. Chief Minister Atishi was also with me. This road was also in a bad condition. The BJP people have conspired to stop the work in Delhi and have troubled the people.”
“We will get this road repaired soon. I have spoken to CM Atishi, to get a report prepared of all the roads under PWD and soon we are sending all our MLAs and ministers to the roads. Work will be done to repair the roads on a war footing. Now that I have come, I will not let the public face trouble,” he added. Meanwhile, Delhi CM Atishi posted on tweet: “Today I inspected Roshanara Road, Malkaganj with Arvind Kejriwal ji. The road is damaged due to the laying of a water board line. Keeping in view the convenience of the people, this road will be constructed soon. Delhiites need not worry now, their son Arvind Kejriwal is now amongst them. In his presence, no one will be able to stop the work of Delhi.”
