Kochi, Sep 27 (FN Agency) Kerala holds vast potential for farm tourism, and efforts should be made to fully harness it, Kerala Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development J Chinchu Rani has said. She made these remarks at the Metro Expedition Tourism Conclave and Award Ceremony held in Kochi in connection with the Kerala Travel Mart. The Minister emphasised that tourism opportunities exist across various sectors, including agriculture, animal husbandry, industry, and local festivals. She announced plans to develop farm tourism initiatives in Idukki district.
Tamil Nadu Minister T Mano Thangaraj also participated, inaugurating tourism week celebrations and advocating for the establishment of heritage tourism centres across South Indian states. The event was presided over by Kochi Mayor M. Anil Kumar and took place aboard the classic Imperial Cruise, which accommodates around 300 guests. Notable attendees included Metro Mart Managing Director Siji Nair, CKTI President EM Najeeb, SKHF Vice President MR Narayanan, Gokulam Group Managing Director Baiju Gopalan, and Metro Expedition Awards Committee Chairman Prasad Manjali.
