BJP Govt working for upliftment of tribals: Minister

Nashik, Sep 23 (FN Agency) Union Environment Minister and BJP in-charge of Maharashtra, Bhupendra Yadav, said on Sunday that the BJP government has been trying for uplift of tribals through various welfare schemes. Speaking at a meeting of tribal workers organised by Maharashtra unit of BJP in city, he said that the government has plans for everyone grom the youth to the elderly. He further said that the BJP government has provided tribal women with self-reliance as well as economic stability. So far, the schemes brought by the BJP government for tribals and others have reached one hundred per cent of the households, he claimed. The Minister further said that BJP has given a first tribal President of the country as well as the Chief Minister in Odisha. Additionally, substantial schemes are being implemented for tribals of Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, he informed.

On the contrary, the Congress governments had not taken any favourable action in past 50 years, he claimed and said that the Narendra Modi-led government has completed the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana which was started during the Atal Vajpayee’s government. Also, the Ladki Bahin Yojana implemented by the Maharashtra government has been very effective, giving women financial independence and empowerment, he said. He said that BJP is trying to give respect to the constituent parties of the Mahayuti (grand alliance) in Maharashtra and asked party workers to make efforts to provide a competent government in Maharashtra to support the central government in upcoming state assembly election. The Minister made an appeal that every worker of allied parties should work together to give a majority to the Mahayuti to complete the works of public interest in the future.
