Modi govt taking political revenge on Himachal: Congress

Kangra, Sep 4 (Representative) Congress spokesman Span Sood on Tuesday said instead of shedding crocodile tears on the financial condition of the state, the Himachal Pradesh BJP leaders should discuss with the Modi government at the centre about the political enmity being shown towards the state. He said the BJP leaders should fulfil their political responsibility by talking to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give priority to the outstanding liabilities of Himachal Pradesh in the interest of the state. Sood, calling the BJP “anti-Himachal Pradesh”, said the four Lok Sabha and two Rajya Sabha MPs of the saffron outfit, who belong to the hilly state, will never open their mouths in the interest of the state in front of Modi. The Congress leader said the children of orphaned and widowed women of the state are being given financial grants by opening the treasury for higher education. Under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana, eligible women of the state above the age of 18 years are being given Rs 1500 per month.
