Kolkata / New Delhi, Aug 13 (FN Agency) The Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC India) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA) to promote exports by MSME members primarily. The MoU aims to identify potential products for exports and promote trade activities by organising trade exhibitions, buyer-seller meets, and Economic summits as the agreement seeks to facilitate the transfer and exchange of trade/business information and disseminate it to member exporters. The MoU provides for encouraging international investment through the setting up of joint ventures and technical collaborations.
“EEPC India, in partnership with ISSDA, plans to hold sessions on innovation and capacity building in all regions with ISSDA chapters. The initiative would help these regions emerge and grow in the engineering goods and stainless steel sectors thus benefiting both the organizations,” according to EEPC India Chairman Arun Kumar Garodia. The MoU was signed by Adhip Mitra, Executive Director & Secretary–EEPC India, and Rohit Kumar, Executive Director – ISSDA. EEPC India is the premier trade and investment promotion organization in India catering to the engineering sector.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, the council has been working diligently to promote the engineering industry, both exports out of India and inward investments into the engineering sector, since its inception in 1955. The Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA) is the prime organization representing the Indian stainless steel industry. ISSDA works towards the growth and development of the stainless steelmindustry in India, to foster a synergistic environment among the members.
