Drugs worth Rs 7 crore seized: Four arrested

Hyderabad, July 20 (Agency) The Telangana police have arrested four drug peddlers and seized one kilogram of heroin, worth Rs 7 crore in the grey market from their possession. Acting on reliable information, the Special Operations Team (SOT) of Shamshabad and Madhapur Police, with the assistance of the Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau, apprehended Nemichand Bhati, Narpat Singh, Ajay Bhati, and Harish Sirvi. Nemichand Bhati, the main drug peddler, hails from Rathode Kuva village, Kothvali Mandal, Nagaur District, Rajasthan. Narpat Singh, also a drug peddler, is from Taygi Market Back Side, Nagaur town, Rajasthan. Ajay Bhati, an assistant in drug sales, resides in Abdullapurmet, Ranga Reddy district, and is originally from Nayadarvaja, Kothvali, Nagaur District, Rajasthan. Harish Sirvi, another assistant in drug sales, lives in Malkapur, Choutuppal, Ranga Reddy district, and is originally from Nemberakala village, Pali district, Rajasthan.

Santhosh Acharya, the main supplier from Rathode Kuva village, Nagaur District, Rajasthan, is currently lodged in Jodhpur Jail in connection with an NDPS case, the police statement said on Saturday. Nemichand Bhati and Narpat Singh, both from Rathode Kuva of Nagaur district, used to procure heroin and MDMA from Santhosh Acharya, who is a significant drug peddler currently imprisoned in Jodhpur jail. Nemichand would sell the drugs to customers and other peddlers. About 2.5 months ago, Nemichand came to Hyderabad to visit his brother-in-law, Ajay Bhati and discussed selling heroin and MDMA for substantial profits. Ajay and his friend Harish Sirvi agreed to the plan. They decided to sell the drugs in Madhapur, Hyderabad, for a good price. Following their plan, Nemichand and Narpat Singh arrived in Hyderabad with one kilogram of heroin (divided into four packets, each containing 250 grams) and met with Ajay Bhati and Harish Sirvi to sell the drugs. Acting on credible information, the police apprehended them with one kilogram of heroin.
