New Delhi, July 6 (Agency) The Budget session of Parliament will be held from July 22 to August 12, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said on Saturday. The Union Budget for the financial year 2024-25 will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha on July 23.
While announcing the schedule, Rijiju on his official X handle said, “Hon’ble President of India, on the recommendation of the Government of India, has approved the proposal for summoning both the Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session, 2024, from July 22, 2024, to August 12, 2024 (subject to exigencies of Parliamentary Business).” This will be the first full budget of Modi 3.0 government to be presented on July 23. Earlier, ahead of the Lok Sabha election, an interim budget was tabled in Parliament on February 1.
