Hajipur, May 13 (FN Representative) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday asserted that none could snatch reservation facilities from SCs, STs and OBCs till he was alive.Addressing a mammoth public meeting here in favour of NDA candidate Chirag Paswan from Hajipur Lok Sabha seat for the ongoing Lok Sabha election, Modi said the INDIA bloc leaders were gearing up to snatch reservation facilities from SCs, STs and OBCs if they were voted to power at the Centre.Making an oblique reference to RJD chief Lalu Prasad, he said a leader convicted in fodder scam had recently advocated for cent per cent reservation (pura) to Muslims which indicated they would snatch existing reservation facilities being given to SCs, STs and OBCs. The Prime Minister made it clear that none would snatch reservation from SCs STs and OBCs till he was alive.INDIA bloc leaders had the mindset of pursuing appeasement policy and they could not come out of it, he pointed out. Modi while targeting RJD for its negative attitude on women reservation in Parliament and state assemblies said its leader had once torn the paper relating to women reservation in the House. Those days had gone, and none could do such misadventure anymore, he said and warned if anyone dared to do so, he would have to face serious consequences.
Modi said the RJD had destroyed all industries and infrastructures during its rule in Bihar.Lot of works were done since the NDA government was voted to power in Bihar and his government was formed at the Centre, he pointed out. Modi said 1500 km road had been built in Bihar during the past ten years. More than 400 flyovers had been constructed which not only improved infrastructural facilities in the state but also created vast job opportunities for youths, he added. The Prime Minister said financial assistance of Rs 2.5 lakh crore had been given to youths under Mudra Yojna in Bihar to launch their own ventures for livelihood. All development works being carried out by the government were creating huge job opportunities, he noted. Modi said the INDIA bloc leaders were deeply submerged in corrupt practices. During the Congress regime from 2004 to 2014, only Rs 35 lakh was seized from those involved in corrupt practices but in the past ten years since 2014, amount seized by Enforcement Directorate (ED) stood at Rs 2, 2000 crores, he pointed out. The Prime Minister while comparing the cash in terms of its volume said the cash seized during the Congress regime could be carried in a school bag but the amount seized by ED during regime of his government would need 70 small trucks for transportation.Leaders of INDIA bloc indulged in corruption and promoting dynastic politics, he alleged.
