Geneva, May 8 (Agency) The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has announced the launch of the FIVB Volleyball Foundation, scheduled for May 30. During the launch ceremony, an auction will be held to raise funds for community-serving projects, the governing body for world volleyball disclosed on Tuesday. “The FIVB Volleyball Foundation uses the global reach and power of volleyball to support community projects worldwide that have a positive impact,” FIVB introduced in its statement.
“By identifying pioneering projects from across the globe, the Foundation supports and provides funding and resources to advance certified projects that promote the social well-being of communities through volleyball.” The ceremony is expected to draw guests from the global Volleyball Family, the Olympic Movement, and beyond, including government officials, athletes, and advocates for social development. The auction will feature volleyball memorabilia donated by Olympic and world champions as well as volleyball legends.
