SC sub-categorisation realisation only with formation of Modi govt: MRPS

Hyderabad, May 3 (Representative) Manda Krishna Madiga, the Founder President of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) said on Thursday that the SC sub-categoriSation can only be realiSed with the formation of the third Narendra Modi government at the Centre. Addressing a rally in support of BJP Candidate from Chevella Parliamentary seat, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Krishna Madiga said Modi’s return as Prime Minister for a third term is imperative, given the BJP government’s favourable stance on the sub-categorisation of SCs. He said history bears witness to instances where both the Congress and the BRS parties have deceived the Madiga community. “Still, the BJP embraced us and brought us into its fold, recognizing our concerns and advocating for our rights,” he added. Regardless of your allegiance to any party, whether it is Congress or the BRS, the Madiga community should unite and cast their collective vote for the BJP and Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, he added. Speaking on the occasion, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy said, Manda Krishna and MRPS have been agitating for SC sub-categorisation for probably the longest period by any movement.

They represented their concerns to chief ministers of 29 states and multiple prime ministers over the years, yet none could offer solace by adequately addressing the grievances of the Madiga community. Ambedkar and Babu Jagjivan Ram championed the cause of social justice, yet it remained an unfulfilled dream awaiting realization, he said for India to progress, it’s imperative that everyone, regardless of caste, is afforded ample growth opportunities. However, the SC community has been grappling with injustice, and the absence of sub-categorization among the SCs is exacerbating the injustice faced by the Madigas. Manda Krishna Madiga’s agitation is not directed against any specific section of people; rather, it aims to seek justice for the Madigas, he said. While Modi garners praise from both within the country and global leaders, he came here to appreciate Manda Krishna Madiga’s unwavering 30-year-long agitation on this issue which demonstrates his commitment beyond political gain, said Reddy. The BJP’s policy is rooted in providing equal opportunities and fair treatment to all, recognizing this as crucial for the nation’s growth, he claimed.
